Awarded Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor (URaCE) Summer Fellowship Project

We are very excited to have three funded undergraduate students working on our  “Building a Smarter Chattanooga: Connecting our City to its Foundation” URaCE 10-week summer project – an interdisciplinary collaboration with Dr. Amy Brock-Hon (Associate Professor of Geology; Associate Department Head in Biology, Geology, and Environmental Science Department).

The primary goals for our project are: (1) use technology to connect members of the Chattanooga community to points of interest within Chattanooga, encouraging civic engagement through learning and exploration, and (2) enforce student learning and use of GIS in the fields of geology and geography. The image above is my first attempt at designing a graphic for our project.

Keep an eye out for future updates about this project and watch how the graphic transforms as the project evolves.
